Meita Touray is a Gambian Journalist and an accredited Journalism Trainer currently working for the Media Academy for Journalism and Communication (MAJaC) Institute.

She attained both Advanced Diploma and Certificate in Journalism, and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and Digital Media at the University of The Gambia. She is also a certified student of Fray College of Communication- a South African based communication college, through a distance learning Media Management Course. Ms. Touray has attended a series of media-related training both local and international which has impacted positively and further shaped her journalism career.

Her seven years of practical journalism experience, coupled with her pursuit for academic excellence in media and communication made her one of the finest female Journalism trainers with the understanding of The Gambia media sector. She has contributed to the professional and career development of many young journalists in The Gambia. Meita is also a personate about Women Empowerment. She is a mentor offering career coughing for members of Women Journalists Association of The Gambia (WoJAG).

She has experience in Project Management, having successfully managed and coordinated projects for MAJaC. She is a diligent, open-minded, and well-organized young lady with great passion for media development and women empowerment.
